Who runs PlayGuidePro
PlayGuidePro is the founder project of Neil Lightstone, who has spent fifteen years in the online gambling industry, latterly as head of content and development.
The aim is a slot catalogue large enough to be searched properly. There are thousands of these games and they differ in ways that decide whether someone will enjoy one — how volatile it is, the shape of the grid, what triggers the bonus round, what the maximum win is worth in practice — and those are rarely things a player can filter by. Someone who knows they want a high-volatility game with a bought bonus and a small grid should be able to ask for that and be given it.
Filters are only worth having if what sits behind them is right, which is why each game is opened and read rather than described from a supplier feed, and why each specification is published with the source it came from. Automation is what makes reading a catalogue this size possible at all.
Every game also gets a page built from what is actually in it — its own paytable, its own screens, its own features — so a player choosing between two similar titles has something to choose with.
Neil sets the standards described in Editorial Policy, reviews published pages against the games themselves, and is accountable for corrections.
About PlayGuidePro
PlayGuidePro is a reference site for online slot games. We publish specifications, paytables, bonus mechanics and free demo versions of the games themselves, so a player can understand how a slot behaves before risking anything on it.
We are not a casino. We do not accept bets, hold funds, or operate games.
How our data is produced
Most slot databases copy their figures from supplier feeds. We open each game in a real browser and read its specifications from the game itself, then show on every page which source each number came from and when it was last checked.
The full process is described in How We Verify.
How the site is funded
Some links to casino operators on this site are commercial. Where a link earns us a commission, that has no bearing on the specifications we publish — those are read from the games and are the same regardless of who pays for placement.
Free demo games are provided so that the games can be tried without money changing hands at all.
