Teen Patti
Teen patti means three cards, and the game played at home across India is a round of blind and seen betting between friends. The games on this page are the casino's version of it. The three cards and the ranking are the same, with the trail at the top and the pure sequence just beneath it, but the opponent is a dealer who plays by a printed rule, and there are no rounds of raising around a table.
Two quite different games carry the name online, and a title says which only in its rules. One deals you three cards against the dealer's three and asks a single question, play or fold; the other deals a hand to A and a hand to B and asks only which you back. Both are played through step by step in the how-to-play guide, and the odds page counts every hand in the deck.

The Ranking and How Often Each Hand Comes
Counted over every one of the 22100 three-card hands in a deck. Where the ace-low run sits among the sequences varies by table, and the rules screen settles it.
Two Games Share the Name
Against the dealer. An ante goes down, three cards come to you and three to the dealer, and you either match the ante with a play bet or fold. The dealer needs a minimum hand to qualify, usually queen high; below it the ante is paid and the play bet returned, and above it the better hand takes both. A Pair Plus circle, paid on your own hand whatever the dealer shows, sits beside the ante on most of these tables.
Player A against Player B. Both hands land face up and the only wager is on the higher of the two, with a tie bet alongside and often a bonus on each hand. Nothing is decided after the cards appear. A 20-20 title is this game, and the odds page gives the chance of each side and of a tie.
A Trail Above a Pure Sequence
The ranking is the one place the Indian game and Three Card Poker part company. In Three Card Poker the straight flush sits at the top, in teen patti the trail does, and the difference is a matter of convention rather than arithmetic: there are 48 pure sequences in a deck and 52 trails, so the hand teen patti ranks highest is in fact the commoner of the two. The gap is four hands in 22100, and in play it is felt only on the rare deal where one of each is at the table.
Below those two the orders agree: sequence, then colour, then pair, then high card. A table that prints the Three Card Poker order under the teen patti name exists, and its rules screen is the only place that says so, which is why the how-to-play guide starts every hand there.
Pair Plus and the Bonus Bets
Pair Plus pays on your own three cards according to the rates beside its circle, whether the dealer qualifies or not and whether you play or fold. Since the deck fixes how often each hand arrives, those rates are the whole price of the bet, and two tables with different rates are two different prices under one name. On an A-versus-B table the same wager appears as a bonus on each hand.
No figure for those schedules is printed here, because the schedules differ from title to title and a single number would describe none of them. The counts in the ranking table are what any schedule is multiplied through; the same hands, under the Three Card Poker name, have three schedules worked out on the casino poker odds page.
Strategy, Honestly
In the Player A against Player B format there is nothing to decide after the bet, and nothing before it either: each hand wins 49.94% of rounds and they tie on 0.11%, so the two sides are the same bet at the same price and only the payouts on the felt tell them apart. The tie bet is a bet on something that happens about once in 903.76 rounds, and its price is whatever the table pays against that.
Against the dealer there is one decision, play or fold, and the right answer turns on what the felt prints as the qualifier and the bonus. A queen-high qualifier with the standard bonus gives a line close to the one settled for Three Card Poker, and the shape is the same: play any pair, any sequence, any colour and any strong high card, fold the weakest high cards. Beyond that shape no figure is given here, since the ranking and the bonus differ between titles.

Teen Patti FAQs
Nearly. The casino version deals three cards against a qualifying dealer, exactly like Three Card Poker, over the same 22100 hands. The difference is the ranking: teen patti puts the trail above the pure sequence, and Three Card Poker puts the straight flush first.
A trail, three cards of the same rank, with three aces the highest of all. It arrives about once in 425 deals.
The two-hand format: A and B each receive three cards and the wager is on the winner. There is no play-or-fold decision; each side wins 49.94% of rounds and the rest are ties.
74.39% of deals, about three in four. A pair comes once in 5.9 deals and a colour once in 20.16.
On most tables it is the second-highest sequence, just below A-K-Q, which is the common Indian rule. A few tables put it at the bottom, the Three Card Poker way, and say so in their rules.
Not in the casino version. Blind betting, chaal and the show belong to the social game between players. At a dealer table every chip except the play bet goes down before the deal, and in the two-hand format every chip does.
