Live Casino Studios

A casino does not run its own live tables. It licenses them from a studio that owns the floor, employs the dealers and holds the supplier licence, and the same table is streamed to every casino on the studio's list. That is why the studio, not the casino, is the right unit to read a live lobby by: the rules of a blackjack table, the segments on a wheel and the multiplier ranges all belong to the studio and are identical wherever the table appears.

The table below counts, for each studio, how many reviewed casinos list it on their own provider pages. Four studios account for most of the live tables in those lobbies and have a profile each: Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech Live and Ezugi. The others are described in a line each.

Studios by Reach

Rounded down, over reviewed casinos only. A studio on this list with no profile page is one whose public rules are not detailed enough to price; its tables appear on the casino reviews that carry them.

Pure Plays and Slot Studios

The live market has two kinds of studio. A pure play streams tables and nothing else: Evolution began that way, and Ezugi, Winfinity, LuckyStreak and Beter Live still are. A slot studio adds live tables beside its reels: Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Swintt and Stakelogic all came to live play from slots, and their tables tend to share names and artwork with their slot franchises, which is why a Sweet Bonanza wheel and a Gates of Olympus roulette exist.

The difference shows in the lobby. A pure play's catalogue is deep in one direction, with dozens of blackjack and baccarat tables at different limits and languages. A slot studio's live range is narrower and leans on game shows, where the brand carries over.

What a Studio Profile Covers

Each profile answers the same questions. Where the studio streams from, in its own words. Which licences it holds as a supplier. Which tables and shows it deals, and for the ones with public rules, what those rules cost: the live blackjack page prices the rule set and the game show pages price the wheels. And how many reviewed casinos carry it, which links to the list of those casinos on the studio's own casino page.

What a profile does not do is rank the studio. The order of the table above is the number of reviewed casinos that name the studio, which is a measure of reach, not of quality.

Studios FAQ

No. The rules belong to the studio and arrive with the table. A casino chooses which studios and which tables to carry, and the minimum and maximum stakes within the studio's range.

Because they stream the same table. A studio's public tables are shared by every casino that licenses them; a casino that wants its own dealer rents a dedicated table.

It is a brand within the Evolution group since 2018, with its own studios and its own table range aimed at regional markets.

The question only makes sense per game. Blackjack differs by rule set and the rule sets are priced on the live blackjack page; roulette is the same wheel everywhere unless la partage is offered; baccarat is the same shoe at every studio.
