Free Video Poker Games

The games here run in demo mode in your browser with play credits, with nothing to install. The games come from Habanero, Platipus, Playtech and at least a dozen other studios, and cover Jacks or Better, the bonus games, the wild-card games and several variants without a page of their own here.

The table below gives the pay table and return of the leading titles in the library, under perfect play. Try the designs, compare the mechanics and pick the one that suits you.

The games below run free in your browser in demo mode, with no registration and no deposit. Pick a variant and open its pay table before you play.

What Each Game Pays

Returns assume perfect play for that exact pay table. Below max bet means betting fewer credits than the maximum, where the royal flush pays less per credit; "Same (flat royal)" marks games that pay the royal at one multiple at every bet size, so the bet size does not change the return. The pay tables guide explains the notation and why betting below the maximum costs what it does, and each variant's own page covers its rules and holds.

Pro Tip
Before relying on a row, open the game and compare its pay table with the one listed here. If a line differs, the game has been changed, and so has its return.

One Game, Five Hand Counts

Nearly half of the library, 50 games, is Habanero: ten titles, each offered as 1 Hand, 5 Hand, 10 Hand, 50 Hand and 100 Hand. Each set of five is one game with a hand-count selector, so the table above gives each title a single row.

What changes is how a round plays out. You make one hold decision and it applies to every hand, in the same way at every count, so a 100 Hand round puts one choice in front of a hundred different outcomes. Dealing the extra hands, and how their stake is counted, are explained on our how to play page.

What Free Play Is Good For

Deal a few hundred hands and decide each hold deliberately, then compare your choices with the hold list on that variant's page, where it has one. Mistakes cost nothing in demo mode. The strategy guide shows how each correct hold is worked out.

Open the game's pay table and compare it with the schedule we list for that game above. If a real-money version shows different figures on the same lines, it is running a different table. The pay tables guide lists the lines that tell each variant's tables apart.

Know Which Variant You Are Playing

The games above are not all the same paytable, and the difference is what they pay.

No wild cards and a pair of jacks to win. Its 9/6 table returns 99.54% with perfect play.

Jacks or Better

Four of a kind paid by rank: aces 80, 2s to 4s 40, everything else 25.

Bonus Poker

Bigger quad bonuses and two pair cut to even money. The 10/7 table returns 100.17%.

Double Bonus

The fifth card counts: four aces with a 2, 3 or 4 beside them pay 400 instead of 160.

Double Double Bonus

A 53-card deck with one wild joker, paying from a pair of kings. The 20/7/5 table returns 100.65%.

Joker Poker

All four 2s are wild, so nothing below three of a kind pays. Full Pay returns 100.76%.

Deuces Wild

Wild deuces with five of a kind paid by rank, and 400 for four deuces with an ace.

Bonus Deuces Wild

A pair of tens pays too, paid for with a smaller full house and flush.

Tens or Better

Four aces and four eights share an 80 bonus, four sevens pay 50. The 8/5 table returns 99.78%.

Aces & Eights

The round, the buttons, how the deck is dealt, and every hand from royal flush down.

What a Demo Cannot Tell You

Demo credits are play money, not a balance: nothing won in demo mode can be withdrawn, and nothing lost costs anything, which also means a demo session does not reproduce how it feels to make the same decisions with your own money at stake.

A short demo also says nothing about how good a game is. The returns in the table are long-run averages under perfect play, and a short run of hands can land far from them on any game, including the best one here. Judge a game by its pay table, not by how a demo session went.

Finally, each casino sets the pay table, and the pay table decides the return. A title with the same name at a real-money casino can be set to a different schedule from the one listed here, so check the pay table on that screen before you stake anything.

Free Video Poker FAQ

No. The games open in your browser in demo mode with play credits. Some providers show an age confirmation before their game loads, and some block their demos in certain countries; those are the extra steps you may meet.

Some providers limit where their demos can be opened, and the check is based on where you are connecting from. The same game may open normally from another country. It stays listed here either way, since availability can differ from one visitor to the next.

Of the games in the table above, any of the three 9/6 Jacks or Better games, at 99.54% with perfect play at the maximum bet. Next is Platipus's 8/5 Aces and Faces at 99.26%, then its Bonus Deuces Wild at 98.65%.

Yes. The credits cost nothing, so there is no reason to play a smaller bet, and the maximum bet is the one the headline return in our table assumes. It also shows the pay table at the bet size its best royal payout needs.
