Dream Catcher
Dream Catcher is the original live money wheel and the only game show on these pages whose return is entirely arithmetic. The studio states the layout: 54 equal segments, 52 of them numbered 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or 40 and paying that number to one, and two multiplier segments, a silver 2x and a gold 7x. A stop on a multiplier pays nobody; every bet stays in place, the wheel is spun again, and the next win's odds are multiplied by 2 or 7. A second multiplier multiplies again. There is no bonus round, no Top Slot and no drawn number anywhere in the game.
That makes the whole return computable. The table below gives, for each of the six bets, how often it lands on a single spin, how often it eventually settles once re-spins are counted, what it returns with no multiplier, and what it returns in full.

Six Bets, Fully Priced
Segment counts: the studio states 52 numbered segments and one each of 2x and 7x; the split of the 52 is the wheel face, 23 ones, 15 twos, 7 fives, 4 tens, 2 twenties and 1 forty. The full return counts every chain of re-spins; the stated 20,000x ceiling is reached only by a long run of 7x segments and is included.
How the Chain Is Priced
A multiplier segment lands 3.70% of the time, once in 27 spins. When it does, the bet is not lost; it waits for a number. So a bet on a number settles not with the single-spin frequency but with that frequency divided by the share of spins that are not re-spins: the 10 lands 7.41% of the time but settles on 7.69% of bets. And the odds it is paid at are not always 10 to 1: averaged over every chain of 2x and 7x stops, a settled win carries a multiplier of 1.156x.
Put the two together and the full return of the 10 is 96.58%, a house edge of 3.42%, against a floor of 81.48% without the re-spins. The same calculation runs for every bet, and because the multiplier applies to the odds and not the stake, it lifts the high numbers more than the low ones. The 1 gains less from a 7x than the 40 does.
The Best and Worst Bet
The 10 is the best-priced bet on the wheel at 3.42%, and the 40 the worst at 9.19%; the spread is 5.77%. The 1 and the 2 sit near 95.34% and 95.51%, close to the 10, while the 5 and the 20, like the 40, are priced further from fair. The ranking is not by size: the 10 beats the 5 and the 40 trails the 20.
What this wheel teaches: Every other show on these pages is Dream Catcher with a drawn bonus added. The floors there are computed exactly as here; what cannot be computed is the bonus, and the studio's stated return stands in for it. A reader who understands this one wheel can read all the others.
Playing It
There is one decision, the segment, and it is a trade between frequency and price. The 1 settles on 44.23% of bets and the 40 on 1.92%; the 10 is where the price is best and the wait is moderate. Covering all six numbers wins on every settled spin and earns the six returns averaged by stake, which sits between the 10 and the 40 and above neither. A multiplier stop is good news for every bet on the layout equally, since every bet waits and every win is multiplied.
An hour at the wheel is roughly sixty spins, two or three of them re-spins.
Dream Catcher FAQ
From about 3.42% on the 10 to about 9.19% on the 40, computed from the wheel with every re-spin chain included. The 1 and the 2 are close to 4.5%.
Nothing is settled. Every bet stays down for another spin, and the winner of that spin is paid at double or seven times its odds; a further multiplier stop compounds it.
Once in 27 spins on average, since two of the 54 segments are multipliers.
A sensor reads a physical wheel. Unlike the newer shows there is no software-drawn multiplier; the 2x and 7x are printed on the wheel.
